Our client is an experienced technology solution provider. Supplying CAD software services to the manufacturing and construction sector. They are now looking to add a Construction Applications Engineer to their well-established technical team.

Role Overview

To provide technical and industry knowledge to a new team focused on servicing the construction industry, specifically contractors and sub-contractors delivering built assets.

Key Accountabilities

1.Providing product training for agreed Autodesk products either at the client site or within the company's offices.
2.Providing pre and post-sales support (including customer presentations and creating proposals) customising application software to meet customer requirements.
3.Providing ongoing product support and promotion in conjunction with the sales and technical teams. This will include conducting webinars as required.
4.Supporting customers and internal staff with technical queries face to face, by telephone and via email.
5.Organising and running technology workshops for new and existing customers to further enhance the organisation's reputation as a leading advisor and consultant in the CAD market.

Specific Technical Skills:

-Knowledge of Autodesk design and construction products such as Building Design Suite, Infrastructure Design Suite, Navisworks or BIM360 products highly desirable.

-Experience working in an engineering and construction environment

-Confident in client facing roles

-Natural problem solver

Experience and Education:

-Experience working with or for a construction contractor, preferably in a design co-ordination, project management or bid role.
-Ideally time spent at a large multi-discipline construction contractor. Certainly, a good working knowledge of contractor behaviour and processes.
